Rev.-Rochelle-Michael

Rev. Rochelle Michael

Director of Ministry and Pastoral Services

Rev. Michael holds a Masters of Divinity from McCormick Theological Seminary, a Masters of Social Work from the University of Illinois, and a sociology degree from Northeastern Illinois University.
Rev. Rochelle researches, plans, consults, implements, and monitors ministry activities and pastoral care for Trinity United Church of Christ. She is responsible for the coordination and management of daily work, supervises the performance of the pastoral staff, ensures the development of skills and talents for the pastoral staff by providing coaching and training opportunities, and supports ministry partners in facilitation of ministry, program, and project activities.

Associate Pastor for Men

Rev. Mark served six years in the Marines, and in 1997, after hearing a series of sermons on Jonah by the Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright Jr., answered the call to ministry. He received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with a minor in Criminal Justice, from Chicago State University, and earned a Masters of Divinity from Chicago Theological Seminary in 2008. Rev. Mark has served in the Drug and Alcohol Recovery ministry and the Prison ministry, and as an intern at Covenant UCC, Avalon Park UCC, and Advocate UCC. He is married to Paula Barclay and they are the parents of three talented girls, Alexis, Sydni, and Candace.

Rev.-Carmin-Alana-Frederick

Rev. Carmin Alana Frederick, MHS, M.Div.

Minister to Teens

Min. Frederick has been a member of Trinity United Church of Christ since September of 1999, serving in various ministries throughout the church, including the Women’s Drill Team, Women’s Chorus, and Adult Drama. She facilitates the Divorce Care Program for Adults and Children through the Singles Community Ministry, and the premarital counseling program. Min. Frederick graduated in 2006 from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology and is currently In-Care of the Chicago Metropolitan Association of the United Church of Christ, seeking ordination.

Min. Carmin eagerly seeks to serve God in all that she says and does and prays daily for God to make her an instrument of His peace, to sow love where there is hatred, pardon where there is injury, faith where there is doubt, hope where there is despair, light where there is darkness, and joy where there is sadness.

Rev.-Neichelle-Guidry-Jones

Rev. Neichelle Guidry Jones

Associate Pastor to Young Adults

Rev. Neichelle Guidry Jones is a spiritual daughter of New Creation Christian Fellowship of San Antonio, Texas. A graduate of Clark Atlanta University (2007, BA) and Yale Divinity School (2010, M.Div.), she is currently a PhD student in Liturgical Studies at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary in Evanston, IL. Rev. Neichelle’s academic interests include the aesthetics of African American worship and constructing liturgical resources through a postcolonial lens. She is a member of the Evanston North Shore Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the Founder/Editor-in-Chief of Shepreaches magazine (www.shepreaches.com), an online publication for young African-American women in ministry.

Rev Linda Mootry-Dodd

Associate Pastor, Minister to the Sick and Shut-In

Rev. Linda holds a Masters of Divinity degree from North Theological Seminary.She served in the nursing field for 38 years, and she is the proud mother of two adult married children: Her daughter, Linda, and Warren Rhodes; Her son Pervis, and Candice Dodd. She is doubly blessed with four granddaughters. Her passion is the Word of God and getting the Good News to the world. Rev. Linda strives to lift hearts and touch spirits everywhere she goes. She is humorous and loves to laugh. Her hobby is bike riding, nature watching, and forever transforming to healthy nutrition living from the inside out.

Rev. Barbara A. Heard

Volunteer Associate Pastor

Rev. Barbara A. Heard is a graduate of Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary at Northwestern University. She attended Loyola University’s Institute for Pastoral Studies. Rev. Heard is the pastoral liaison to the women’s ministries of the church andshe counsels individuals, provides pre-marital counseling, and counsels married couples.
